Join jewelry artist and Houston Center for Contemporary Craft's Education Director Tarina Frank in exploring basic metalsmithing techniques. Design and create a pair of silver earrings using wire and simple geometric shapes. Sketch out your design and use pliers, a hammer, and heat to bend, form and ball silver. The foundations in this workshop will allow you to make endless design combinations. Artist Bio: Redbud exhibiting artist Tarina Frank is a Houston local known for her unconventional wearable works and paintings. Tarina received her masters degree in Craft and Jewelry from Konstfack University in Stockholm, Sweden. Her jewelry work is often made from recycled paper and explores narrative themes.
